Fairview
PS v Loanends PS Fairview began their defence of the Ballyclare and District Primary Principal's Association 7-a-league with a 2-0 win against a typically organised and determined Loanends team. Both sides had chances early on but it took until just before half time when Ben McCormick controlled the ball superbly before blasting it into the roof of the net to score his first goal for the school. In the second half, Fairview defended determinedly as loanends pushed for an equaliser. The defensive pairing of Ross Patterson and Kurt Cooper were now the busiest players on the pitch as they stopped each attack by the visiting team. As Fairview pushed for a second goal, the Loanends keeper made 3 excellent saves from Lewis Cahill, Ryan Lewis and Mark Jackson. However, Fairview doubled their lead from a throw-in on the left. The ball was flicked on by Mark Jackson which hit the Loanends defender before trickling over the line to make it 2-0.
